Thank You, Very Much!

I am honored by the voters of the Second District.  I look forward to serving you the next four years and am excited to help make Fort Wayne an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.

Over one hundred people volunteered for or donated to this campaign.  We could not have done it without all of this support. I’m especially touched by all those who stood for hours at the polls or gave up part of their weekend to knock on doors.

If I tried to list all those who made this victory possible and all the ways they helped, the list would be endless.

Special thanks to:
-my wife Monica and son William
-my parent Steve and Glenna Jehl
-Josh Hoot- campaign manager
-Jon Olinger- treasurer”
-Steve Shine- ACGOP chairman
-Martin Carbaugh- volunteer coordinator
-Kyle Kerley- campaign chairman
-Joel Benz- advisory committee
-Sarah Walker Design- marketing
-Lisa Olinger- website designer
-James Mitchell- press secretary
-Dr. John Crawford, Bill Bean, Bruce Dye, Mark Deister- who came through whenever we were in need

I thought I would link to that article again, just so there is no doubt that I want the citizens of this city to have ample opportunity to find a job, should they be in search of employment.

The Path Back to Fiscal Responsibility and a Real Balanced Budget

Last week our City passed an unbalanced budget. It will spend more money than it produces in revenue. The major discussions at the Council table centered around a false choice: either higher property taxes or raiding the rainy day fund. Read the rest of this entry →
